Passing through this afternoon I stopped to have a brief chat with the guys repainting the lines on Eastham Rake.
I joked with them about how long it took to get the 30mph roundel painted in Bridle Road and asked about their work order as I know the extent of the work to be carried out here.
Having seen the limitation of what they were due to paint today, it seems that work orders come in different flavours.
The cycle lines are raspberry, as are ‘some’ of the center lines, the roundabout will not be done today as it is orange flavored, and the yellow lines we have been asking for are obviously banana,
Common sense where costs are concerned dictate that we should be looking towards ‘fruit cocktail’ work orders. These will eradicate issues such as only one side of school zigzags being painted as the other side of the road is obviously a different type of fruit altogether.
